Scope
GB/T 36459-2018 is the English-translated version of 信息技术 学习、教育和培训 电子课本内容包装.
GB/T 36459-2018 specifies how the content of an electronic textbook is packaged so that it can be stored and exchanged.
It describes the logical structure of the content package, the elements a package must contain and those that are optional, and the parts it is built from: the content list document, the page folder, the resource folder, the control folder and extension files.
It also covers the package exchange file used to move a package over a network, and defines terms such as e-textbook, package, content list (manifest) and configuration information.
It applies to the design and production of electronic textbooks and draws on GB/T 36453-2018, GB/T 21365-2008 and the DEFLATE compressed data format. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 E-textbook
Developed to achieve a specific learning goal or curriculum standard that meets the needs of online learning or blended learning, with content Page (or screen-by-screen) presentation of teaching software or learning software.
3.2 Package
A structured unit for storing learning objects, containing a specific name for the content list file and the content list file Actual physical file used.
