Scope

GB/T 40470-2021 is the English-translated version of 畜禽屠宰加工设备禽屠宰成套设备技术条件.

GB/T 40470-2021 sets the technical conditions for complete sets of poultry slaughtering and processing equipment. It covers how a complete line is composed and configured, the general technical requirements, and detailed requirements for the main equipment, followed by test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transport and storage.

It builds on the Chinese rules for livestock and poultry slaughtering equipment, food machinery hygiene and electrical safety of machinery, and on the slaughter operating procedures for chicken, duck and goose, the poultry scalding and plucking machines and automatic evisceration lines.

It applies to the design, manufacture, installation, testing, inspection and use of these equipment sets, and is used by equipment builders and slaughterhouses. It was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.

1 Scope

This document specifies the composition and configuration of complete poultry slaughter equipment, general technical requirements, main equipment technical requirements, test methods, inspection regulations Rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements.

This document is applicable to the design, manufacture, installation, testing, inspection and use management of complete sets of poultry slaughtering and processing equipment.
