Scope
GB/T 36896.1-2018 is the English-translated version of 轻型有缆遥控水下机器人 第1部分:总则.
GB/T 36896.1-2018 is the general part of the Chinese series on light duty remotely operated vehicles, the cable-controlled underwater robots known as ROVs. It covers their classification and composition, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and accompanying documents, and packaging, transport and storage.
It applies to the design, production, procurement and inspection of ROVs for underwater observation and work whose underwater part has a lifting weight in air of not more than 1 t, and robots used in rivers and lakes may also refer to it.
The standard defines the ROV, the observation-class ROV and the work-class ROV, and cites the GB/T 32065 environmental tests for marine instruments, from low and high temperature to salt spray, vibration and hydrostatic pressure. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.
