Scope
GB/T 12763.6-2007 is the English-translated version of 海洋调查规范 第6部分: 海洋生物调查.
GB/T 12763.6-2007 is the Chinese national standard on specifications for oceanographic survey - part 6: marine biological survey, in the field of natural and applied sciences. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 13 August 2007 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 February 2008. Classification: ICS 07.060, CCS A45. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword
GB/T 12763 "oceanographic survey" is divided into 11 parts.
--- Part 1. General;
--- Part 2. oceanographic observations;
--- Part 3. Marine meteorological observations;
--- Part 4. Marine Chemistry Elements investigation;
--- Part 5. Ocean Sound, light elements investigation;
--- Part 6. Marine Biological Survey;
--- Part 7. Marine survey data exchange;
--- Part 8. Marine Geological Geophysical Survey;
--- Part 9. Marine Ecological Survey Guidelines;
--- Part 10. seabed topography survey;
--- Part 11. Marine Engineering Geological Survey. Wherein Section 9, Section 10 and Section 11 corresponds to GB/T 12763-1991 is a new section. This section GB/T 612 763 Part of, and replaces GB/T 12763.6-1991 "specification for oceanographic survey marine life survey". This section compared with the GB/T 12763.6-1991 The main changes are as follows:
--- Adjust the general framework of this section, an increase of "survey among 12 intertidal zone" between normative appendix "intertidal biological survey tide Level measurement method and apparatus several map "(see Appendix E) and information appendix" acoustic surveys and fishery resources assessments "(see Appendix G); the 1991 edition of the normative appendix "Seawater chlorophyll a, b, c of (Spectrophotometric Method)" "
5 Leaf Green moved revised Su, primary productivity and new production of Determination "(1991 edition of Appendix A; this edition 5.2.2); the original," Part IV Plankton investigation "modified broken down into" 7 pico, micro and small plankton surveys "," 8 large and medium-sized plankton SURVEY ON "and" 9 ICHTHYOPLANKTON investigation "three chapters, including" 7 pico, micro and small plankton surveys "for the new Research project;

3 Terms and Definitions
GB/T 15919 and established the following terms and definitions apply GB/T 12763 in this section.
3.1 Autotrophic plant cells, an important class of pigments, which absorb and transfer light energy major substance plant photosynthesis. Chlorophyll a (Chla) is one of the main pigment.
3.2 Autotrophic organisms produce organic matter through photosynthesis ability. Usually in unit time (days or years) per unit area (or volume) in the production Health organics (generally represented organic carbon) mass, equivalent to the time within the same area (or volume) of the primary production. [GB/T 15919-1995, the definition 2.210]
3.3 It means the photosynthetic efficiency of plants photosynthetic pigments. In CO2 and adequate illumination conditions, and the same unit mass of chlorophyll per hour The ratio of the amount of carbon [conventional "carbon (mg)/chlorophyll (mg)/hr" indicates]. [GB/T 15919-1995, the definition 2.217]
3.4 In the euphotic recirculating nitrogen regeneration nitrogen, nitrogen provided by outside euphotic for the new nitrogen. First by the support that part of the regeneration of the nitrogen source Productivity known as reclaimed productivity level, supported by the nascent nitrogen that part called the new production of primary productivity.
