Foreword

This document was issued on 24 December 2019 by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, and has applied since 1 July 2020.

It is an FZ/T standard: a recommended industry standard of China's textile industry.

This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces FZ/T 73020-2012 Knitted casual wear and the following main technical changes have been made with respect to FZ/T 73020-2012:

- the application scope of this standard is modified (see Clause 1; Clause 1 of Edition 2012);

- the normative references are adjusted (see Clause 2; Clause 2 of Edition 2012);

- the terms and definitions of mini shorts and fluorescent color are added (see 3.1 and 3.2);

- the designation principle of sizing beyond the range is added (see Clause 4);

- the requirements for net dry fiber content are canceled (see Table 1; Table 1 of Edition 2012);

- the assessment index of pilling is adjusted (see Table 1; Table 1 of Edition 2012);

- the requirements for the distortion rate after water washing for coats are adjusted (see Table 1; 4.3 of Edition 2012);

- the assessment index and test method of staining by washing liquor are added (see Table 1 and 6.1.11);

- the requirements for color fastness to printing (pressing) are deleted (see Table 1; Table 1 of Edition 2012);

- some assessment indexes of color fastness to rubbing, color fastness to light, color fastness to dry cleaning and color fastness to light of textiles wetted with artificial perspiration are adjusted (see Table 1; Table 1 of Edition 2012);

- the assessment on color fastness of lining is added (see Table 1);

- the assessment content of appearance quality after washing is added (see Table 1; Table 1 of Edition 2012);

- the assessment requirements for color fastness to light of fluorescent color garments are added (see 5.3.6);

- the assessment requirements for color fastness of natural-color and bleached products are added (see 5.3.12);

- the sewing requirements are simplified (see 5.4.4; 4.4.8 of Edition 2012);

- the relevant contents of one-piece dress and short skirt are deleted (see 4.4.5, 4.4.7.3, 4.4.7.4, 5.3.2.3.4 and 5.3.2.3.5 of Edition 2012);

- the requirements for sampling quantity are modified (see 7.1; 5.1 of Edition 2012);

- the relevant description for the measuring method of distortion rate after water washing is adjusted (see 6.1.10.2; 5.3.4.3 of Edition 2012);

- the test methods for color fastness to transfer in joints are modified (see 6.1.18; Annex A of Edition 2012);

- result judgment and single-piece judgment are added (see 8.1.3 and 8.2);

- the requirements of GB 31701 are added in product instructions (see 9.1; 7.1 of Edition 2012);

- Annex A is deleted (see Annex A of Edition 2012).

This standard was proposed by China National Textile and Apparel Council.

This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Subcommittee on Knitwear of National Technical Committee on Textiles of the Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 209/SC 6).

The previous editions of this standard are as follows:

- FZ/T 73020-2004 and FZ/T 73020-2012.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product sizing, requirements, test methods, sampling rules, judgment rules, product instructions, packaging, transportation and storage of knitted casual wear.

This standard is applicable to identifying the quality of knitted casual wear mainly made of knitted fabrics through processing.

This standard is not applicable to the garments for infants aged 36 months and below.

3 Terms and Definitions

For the purpose of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

3.1 mini shorts: shorts that extend to the mid-thigh length or above

[GB/T 15557-2008, Definition 3.33]

3.2 fluorescence color: color of some substances when they are excited to emit visible light after absorbing incident light of a certain wavelength

Note: the color showing fluorescence after being irradiated by an ultraviolet lamp.

4 Product sizing

It shall be implemented in accordance with GB/T 6411 or GB/T 1335 (all parts), and the sizing beyond the standard range may be increased or decreased in sequence according to the grading principles specified in the standard.
