1 Foreword

NB 35074-2015 was issued by National Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China on 27 October 2015 and has been in force since 1 March 2016.

2 Scope

This standard sets out the requirements for the design of occupational safety and health provisions in hydropower projects. It covers the labour safety and industrial hygiene aspects that have to be designed into the works, rather than measures added after construction. The standard applies to hydropower projects that are newly built, rebuilt or expanded. It draws on the national rules on occupational exposure limits and on the safety of the plant and equipment used on site, which it cites as normative references.
