JB/T 5775-2010 was issued by MIIT on 11 February 2010 and has been in force since 1 July 2010.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 5775-1991.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on the grey iron castings used in metalforming and forging machinery. It establishes the grades of the material, the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to the various grey iron castings for forging machinery produced in sand moulds or in moulds of equivalent thermal conductivity, while castings made in other kinds of mould may use it for reference. The standard supersedes JB/T 5775-1991 and was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Its codes are J62 and 25.120.01.
