Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

This document replaces GB/T 4725-1992 "Copper Clad Epoxy Glass Cloth Laminates for Printed Circuits" and GB/T 12629-1990 "Limited Thin copper-clad epoxy glass cloth laminate with constant flammability (for the manufacture of multi-layer printed boards)". This document is mainly based on GB/T 4725-1992.

Combined with the content of GB/T 12629-1990.Compared with GB/T 4725-1992, except for structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical The changes are as follows.

a) Changed product classification (see Chapter 5, 3.1 of GB/T 4725-1992);

b) The description of the structure is deleted (see 3.2 of GB/T 4725-1992);

c) Deleted the description of insulating base material (see 3.2.1 of GB/T 4725-1992);

d) Changed the requirements for copper foil (see 6.1, 3.2.2 of GB/T 4725-1992);

e) Added the requirements for E glass fiber cloth and resin system (see 6.2 and 6.3);

f) Changed the requirements for appearance and size (see 7.1, 7.2, 4.2.1~4.2.4 of GB/T 4725-1992);

g) Changed the performance requirements (see 7.3, 4.1, 4.2.5 of GB/T 4725-1992);

h) Appearance and dimension test methods are added (see Chapter 8);

i) Changed the performance test method (see 7.3, Chapter 8, 4.1, 4.2.5 of GB/T 4725-1992);

j) Change the quality assurance (see Chapter 9, Chapter 5 of GB/T 4725-1992);

k) Changed the technical requirements for packaging, marking, transportation and storage (see Chapter 10, Chapter 3.3 and Chapter 6 of GB/T 4725-1992);

l) Added the provisions for ordering documents (see Chapter 11).

1 Scope

This document specifies the product classification, materials and technical requirements of copper clad epoxy fiberglass cloth laminates for printed circuits (hereinafter referred to as "copper clad laminates").

Requirements, test methods, quality assurance, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and ordering documents.

This document is applicable to the design, manufacture, shipment monitoring and downstream use of single-sided or double-sided copper clad laminates with a thickness of 0.05mm~6.4mm. Purchase inspection of households, etc.
