Scope

GB/T 36661-2018 is the English-translated version of 绿色拆船通用规范.

GB/T 36661-2018 sets general rules for green ship recycling, that is, dismantling ships and other floating structures in a way that protects the environment, keeps work safe and safeguards the health of the workers.

It applies to ship dismantling enterprises in China. The environmental requirements cover the shipbreaking site, the environmental management of the enterprise, the prevention and control of water, air, solid waste, soil and sediment and noise pollution, and an emergency plan for pollution incidents.

The safety and health part sets out principles, safe production requirements, health protection and the prevention of and response to accidents. A final clause deals with the identification of green shipbreaking companies. It was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements and implementation of environmental protection, safe production, and occupational health protection for shipbreaking.

This standard applies to ship dismantling enterprises within the territory of the People's Republic of China.
