This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting: This document replaces GB/T 17872-2009 "Series of Ship Type Standards for River-Sea Direct Cargo Ships": Compared with GB/T 17872-2009, except for the In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Changed the scope of the standard (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the:2009 edition);

b) Added the terms and definitions of "overall length" and "overall width" (see 3:1 and 3:2);

c) Changed the definition of "cargo ship with direct access to rivers and seas" (see 3:3, 2:1 of the:2009 edition);

d) Added ship type number (see Chapter 4);

e) Added overall technical requirements (see Chapter 5);

f) The ship type and size series for river-sea direct bulk carriers have been changed (see Table 1, Table 1 of the:2009 edition);
