GB/T 3221-2020 is the test programme for the mooring and sailing trials of inland waterway ships driven by an internal combustion engine burning diesel or natural gas.
It sets out the general principles - who prepares and approves the programme, who takes part, how instruments are calibrated, when the inclining test is done - then lists the items tried alongside, from anchoring gear, steering gear, mooring and towing hooks and hatch closures to life-saving and fire-fighting equipment, alarm systems, ship piping, main and auxiliary engines, shafting, switchboards, generators, navigation and radio equipment and centralised control.
The sailing trials cover speed and manoeuvring, propulsion, steering, hull and shaft vibration and noise. It applies to newly built or substantially rebuilt civil conventional ships.
It replaces GB/T 3221-2010, was issued on 19 November 2020 and has applied since 1 June 2021.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements for test items and contents, test records and reports for mooring and navigation of internal combustion engine-powered inland watercraft.
This standard applies to new construction or major renovation (where applicable) for civil internal combustion engines (diesel and/or natural gas as fuel) as propulsion power The test of general project of river conventional ships. Engineering ships, hovercraft, hydrofoils and other special ships and special installations and equipment, and the length of the ship is less than For the test of a 20m ship, the test program may be prepared according to the provisions of this standard.

3 General principles of the test
3.1 Before the mooring test of each newly built ship, the design unit or shipyard shall, in accordance with the provisions of this standard, and after consultation with relevant units, prepare the ship The test items and specific test program to be carried out shall be submitted to the ship user for confirmation and approval by the ship inspection agency.
3.2 The test should be hosted by the shipyard, with the participation of ship inspection agencies, ship users, design agencies and third-party testing agencies. But the design unit only participates in Add the test of the first ship.
3.3 The test results of each item shall comply with applicable regulations, rules, codes or standards.
3.4 The accuracy of the test equipment and instruments used in the mooring test and sailing test should meet the requirements of applicable laws, regulations, codes or standards;
The equipment and instruments should be verified and calibrated regularly at a national legal metrology institution with the traceability qualification of the corresponding parameter value, and be Within the validity period; testers should hold certificates to work.
3.5 The test site should be clean, unobstructed and adequately illuminated, and appropriate safety and fire prevention measures should be taken.
3.6 Before the mooring test, the shipyard should submit the materials of ship equipment, electromechanical equipment, ship systems, and ship product inspection certificates, manufacturing The various test reports in the process and the installation of measurement record cards for post-shipment inspection are available for verification by the ship inspection agency.
