Scope
GB/T 35610-2024 is the English-translated version of 绿色产品评价 陶瓷砖(板).
GB/T 35610-2024 is the Chinese green product assessment standard for ceramic tiles and boards. Tile is fired at high temperature in enormous volume, which makes it one of the most energy intensive building products in use, and the industry has moved toward thinner and larger formats precisely because they cut the material and the firing energy per square metre. The standard sets the basic requirements a product must satisfy before assessment, covering compliance, pollutant discharge and energy consumption, and then the evaluation indicators grouped as resource attributes including the thickness and mass per unit area and the use of industrial solid waste in the body, energy attributes covering the firing and drying energy, environmental attributes covering the emissions, the wastewater and the recycling of process waste, and quality attributes covering the water absorption, strength, wear and slip resistance and the radioactivity of the finished tile, each with its limit and its verification method, together with the evaluation method and the rules for a claim. It takes effect on 1 May 2025.
