Scope

GB 21252-2023 is the English-translated version of 建筑卫生陶瓷和耐磨氧化铝球单位产品能源消耗限额.

GB 21252-2023 sets the grades of limits, technical requirements, statistical scope and calculation methods for the energy consumption per unit product of architectural ceramics, sanitary ceramics and wear-resistant alumina balls, for use in calculating and assessing the consumption of producing enterprises and in controlling new, reconstruction and expansion projects.

Three grades are defined, grade 1 being the most efficient: dry-pressed ceramic tiles and roofing tiles are graded by water absorption (from 4.5/5.5/7.0 kgce/m2 for absorption up to 0.2% down to 3.2/3.5/4.5 for over 10%), ceramic boards at 6.0/8.7/13.2 kgce/m2, dry-hanging hollow panels and extruded roofing tiles at 226/238/253 kgce/t, sanitary ceramics at 350/500/630 or 300/460/610 kgce/t, and 90-series alumina balls at 295/320/370 kgce/t, rising 2% for each extra 1% of alumina.

Tiles and boards 15 mm thick or more are corrected with a production-weighted thickness coefficient from 1.00 to 1.95; existing plants must meet grade 3 and new or expanded plants grade 2.

It replaces GB 21252-2013 and GB 30181-2013, widening the scope, introducing the limit grades and thickness correction, adding ceramic boards, roofing tiles and hollow panels, and deleting the advanced values and energy-saving management clauses.

Foreword

This document is drafted in accordance with the rules of GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.

This document replaces GB 21252-2013 The norm of energy consumption per unit product of architectural and sanitary ceramics and GB 30181-2013 The norm of energy consumption per unit product of microcrystalline alumina ceramic grinding balls. Compared with GB 21252-2013 and GB 30181-2013, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) the scope of application has been changed (see Clause 1; Clause 1 of GB 21252-2013; Clause 1 of GB 30181-2013);

b) grades of energy consumption limits have been added (see Clause 4);

c) the advanced values of energy consumption have been deleted (see 4.3 of GB 21252-2013 and 4.4 of GB 30181-2013);

d) the grade values of the energy consumption limits per unit product for ceramic tiles (dry-pressed), sanitary ceramics and wear-resistant alumina balls have been changed (see Table 1, Table 5 and Table 6);

e) grade values of the energy consumption limits per unit product for ceramic boards, ceramic roofing tiles and dry-hanging hollow ceramic panels have been added (see Table 1, Table 3 and Table 4);

f) thickness correction coefficients for the comprehensive energy consumption per unit product of ceramic tiles (dry-pressed) and ceramic boards have been added (see Table 2);

g) energy-saving management and measures have been deleted (see Clause 6 of GB 21252-2013 and Clause 6 of GB 30181-2013).
