Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part

1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting is required. This document replaces GB/T 35603-2017 "Green Product Evaluation of Sanitary Ceramics". Compared with GB/T 35603-2017, In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2017 edition);

b) Deleted the definitions of "unit product comprehensive energy consumption", "environmental product declaration" and "carbon footprint" (see 3.1, 3.2, 3.3);

c) The requirement of "product classification" has been deleted (see Chapter 4 of the.2017 edition);

d) The requirements for "Product Packaging" have been changed (see 4.1.1.1, Table 1 of the.2017 edition);

e) Added the requirements for "main packaging materials" (see 4.1.1.1);

f) The requirement of "conducting green supply chain management" has been deleted (see

5.1.1.1 of the.2017 version);

g) Changed the requirements for "clean energy" (see 4.1.1.2,

5.1.1.2 of the.2017 edition);

h) Changed the requirements for "advanced technology and processes" (see 4.1.1.2,

5.1.1.2 of the.2017 edition);

i) Added "integrated intelligent toilet" and related requirements (see 4.1.2, 4.2.2);

1 Scope

GB/T 35603-2024 is the Chinese green product assessment standard for sanitary ceramics: WCs, basins, urinals and squatting pans. It belongs to the series behind the national green product mark, and for this category the environmental question is unusually concentrated in one number, the water used per flush, since a WC installed today will flush tens of thousands of times. The standard sets the assessment framework and the basic requirements on the producer, then the evaluation indicators covering the resource attributes including the water consumption of the product and the raw material and energy used to make it, the energy attributes of the firing process, the environmental attributes covering the emissions and the waste from production and the radioactivity and the harmful substances in the glaze, and the quality attributes covering the flushing performance, the surface quality and the durability, each with its limit and its verification method, together with the assessment rules and the evidence required. The 2024 edition replaces GB/T 35603-2017.

This document specifies the evaluation requirements for green sanitary ceramic products and describes the evaluation methods. This document applies to green products for sanitary ceramics, including toilets, integrated smart toilets, squat toilets, urinals and washbasins. Product evaluation.
