Scope

GB/T 42350-2023 is the English-translated version of 粉煤灰质陶瓷砖.

GB/T 42350-2023 is the Chinese national product standard for fly ash ceramic tiles, which clause 3 defines as tiles made mainly from fly ash with clay, feldspar and quartz, formed and fired at high temperature.

It fixes the product classification, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage, and clause 1 applies it to press-formed fly ash ceramic tiles.

Among the standards it quotes are the fifteen parts of GB/T 3810, covering sampling, dimensions and surface quality, water absorption, modulus of rupture, impact resistance, wear and abrasion, linear thermal expansion, thermal shock, moisture expansion, crazing, frost resistance, chemical and stain resistance and lead and cadmium release, together with GB/T 4100-2015 and GB 6566. Issued on 17 March 2023, it has applied since 1 October 2023.
