First edition, under the China Building Materials Federation. In force from 1 May 2025. Issued on 26 October 2024, it has been in force since 1 May 2025.

1 Scope

This document specifies energy conservation requirements, test calculations and result evaluation for ceramic industry kilns.

This document is applicable to ceramic industrial kilns that produce ceramic tiles (plates), ceramic rock slabs, foamed ceramics, sanitary ceramics, daily-use ceramics, etc.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Firing energy consumption per unit product

The ratio of the total energy consumed by ceramic industrial kilns and their ancillary equipment to the total output of qualified products fired during the test period.

Note 1.Ancillary equipment includes fans, transmission devices, ancillary electrical equipment, etc.

Note 2.The energy statistics for ceramic industry kilns include consumption of various fuels (coal, oil, natural gas, etc.) and electricity.
