Scope
GB/T 27685-2019 is the English-translated version of 便携式铝合金梯.
GB/T 27685-2019 is the Chinese national standard for portable aluminium alloy ladders. It specifies their requirements, inspection methods and inspection rules, and the traceability, marking, packaging, transport, storage, quality certificate, order form or contract and packing documents that go with them.
It applies to household ladders whose main material is aluminium alloy: single ladders, two- and three-section extension ladders, folding ladders and combination ladders, and not to ladders for special industries or special ladders such as fire, roof and mobile ladders.
The requirements are grouped into quality assurance and performance, the latter including cyclic load, pedal penetration and accidental folding. It cites the three parts of GB/T 17889 as well as GB/T 3190, GB/T 3195 and GB/T 6892-2015.
It replaces GB/T 27685-2011, was issued on 4 June 2019 and has applied since 1 May 2020.
