Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part

1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 18262-2000 "General Technical Requirements for Wood-Based Panel Machinery". In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Added terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);

b) Added energy conservation and environmental protection (see 4.1.3), remanufactured parts (see 4.2.1.5), control systems (see 4.2.3.2), numerical control systems (see 4.2.3.3), instruments and meters (see 4.2.3.4), etc.;

c) Changed "inspection" to "inspection method" and "inspection rules" (see Chapter 5 and Chapter 6, Chapter 6 of the.2000 edition);

d) Added parameters (see 5.2), component materials and processing technology (see 5.4.1), control system (see 5.7.2), CNC system (see 5.7.3), inspection methods for instruments, meters (see 5.7.4), electrical control cabinets (see 5.7.5), etc.;

e) Added the content of "storage" (see 7.3);

f) "Manufacturer's guarantee" has been deleted (see Chapter 8 of the.2000 edition). Please note that some of the contents of this document may involve patents. 1 Scope

GB/T 18262-2024 is the Chinese general standard for wood-based panel machinery: the chippers, refiners, dryers, formers, presses, saws and sanders that make particleboard, fibreboard and plywood. It is the base specification the machine-specific standards build on, and it exists because these machines share a set of hazards and requirements that are unusual as a combination, large moving masses, high temperatures and pressures, and an atmosphere of combustible dust throughout. The standard sets the general requirements on the design and manufacture, the materials and the purchased components, the requirements on the machined and welded parts and on the assembly, the electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic system requirements, the safety and protection requirements including guarding, emergency stop, dust and fire protection and noise, the requirements on the appearance and the coating, the accompanying documentation, and the test and acceptance requirements including the no-load and load running tests. The 2024 edition replaces GB/T 18262-2000. For a machine builder or a panel plant in China, this is the acceptance text.
