Scope

GB/T 18002-2011 is the English-translated version of 中密度纤维板生产线验收通则.

China's national rules for accepting a medium density fibreboard production line - the procedure by which a buyer establishes that a complete plant, and not just a list of machines, works. It specifies the general acceptance requirements for MDF production lines, covering the equipment foundations, the installation of the main and auxiliary equipment and of the electrical equipment, the safety and health requirements, the energy saving and environmental requirements, the no-load running test of individual machines, the running test of the line, the load test of the line, the inspection and acceptance rules and the marking. It applies to dry-process MDF production lines. An MDF line is bought as a turnkey project: chipping, refining, resin blending, drying, forming, pressing, cooling, sanding and cutting, each stage from a different maker, all of it commissioned together. The buyer's exposure is that every machine can meet its own specification while the line does not - the press cycles faster than the former can feed it, the dryer cannot hold moisture within the window the press needs, the sander cannot keep up with the trim line - and once the plant is paid for there is no leverage left. So acceptance is staged. Foundations and installation are checked first, because a press out of level or a fibre line badly aligned cannot be corrected later. Then each machine is run empty. Then the whole line is run empty in sequence, which is where the interlocks, the transfer points and the control system are exercised. Only then is the line run under load, and only there do the numbers that were bought - output, board properties, consumption - become measurable. The 2011 edition added the safety and health chapter and the energy and environment chapter, consolidated the earlier chapters into a single requirements chapter and revised parts of the inspection method and acceptance rules. Issued on 29 September 2011 and in force since 1 December 2011, it replaces GB/T 18002-1999.

Issued on 29 September 2011 and in force since 1 December 2011, it replaces GB/T 18002-1999.

This standard specifies the general requirements for the acceptance of medium density fiberboard production lines, equipment base, main equipment installation, auxiliary equipment and electrical safety Equipment installation, safety, health requirements, energy saving, environmental requirements, stand-alone air running test, production line running test, the production line negative Test and other requirements, inspection and acceptance rules and signs. This standard applies to dry medium density fiberboard production line (hereinafter referred to as the production line).
