GB/T 4897-2026Particleboard (English PDF)

GB/T 4897-2026 is the English-translated version of 刨花板.

Particleboard is a major wood-based panel used in furniture, cabinetry, interior fitting and construction, and this document is the national standard for the product. It is the 2026 edition and it replaces GB/T 4897-2015, so manufacturers, distributors and specifiers who work from the 2015 version will need to move to the newer document.

Panel producers can use it to define and verify their products, while furniture makers, builders, importers and testing laboratories may refer to it when buying, inspecting or certifying particleboard. Exporters who supply the Chinese market will also want to know which edition applies to current contracts. The standard is a recommended national standard, so its use is voluntary unless required by a contract or another rule. It adopts an international standard. It was issued on 28 August 2026 and takes effect on 1 March 2027. It is administered by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration.
