Foreword

This standard replaces GB 12527-1990 "rated voltage 1kV and below aerial insulated cables." This standard compared with GB 12527-1990 main changes are as follows:

--- Modify the definition of the rated voltage (1990 version 3.4,

3.4 of this standard);

--- Modify the product representation (1990 version 3.7,

4.3 of this standard);

--- Increased aluminum and aluminum alloy conductor single core cable specifications 300mm2,400mm2 (see Table 2 and Table 4);

--- Removed the stranded conductor than a predetermined pitch diameter and twist to the (1990 version 7.1.2);

--- A sign of increased core method (see 7.2.2). Appendix A of this standard is an informative annex, Annex B normative appendix. 1 Scope

GB/T 12527-2008 is the Chinese national standard on aerial insulated cables for rated voltages up to and including 1kv, in the field of electrical engineering. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 30 June 2008 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 April 2009. Classification: ICS 29.060.20, CCS K13. This standard specifies the technical conditions for AC rated voltage 1kV and below aerial insulated cables, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, Transportation and storage. This standard applies to the rated AC voltage U 1kV and below overhead power lines with copper, aluminum, aluminum alloy core weatherproof polyvinyl chloride , Polyethylene and cross-linked polyethylene insulated aerial cable.
