Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting.
This document is part 2 of GB 8965 "Protective Clothing". GB 8965 has released the following parts.
---GB 8965.1-2020 Flame-retardant clothing for protective clothing;
---GB 8965.3-2022 Protective clothing molten metal splash protective clothing;
---GB 8965.4-2022 Protective clothing Arc protection clothing.
This document replaces GB 8965.2-2009 "Protective Clothing Flame Retardant Protection Part 2: Welding Clothing", and is consistent with GB 8965.2-2009 In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Added requirements for volume resistance of welding clothing fabrics, radiant heat conductivity index, and decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes (see 5.4.1);
--- Added the requirements for tear strength, formaldehyde content, pH and hexavalent chromium content of leather fabrics (see 5.4.1);
--- Added the test method for thermal stability of clothing accessories (see 6.19);
--- Changed the test method for the flame retardancy of fabrics (see 6.4, 6.4 of the 2009 edition);
--- Changed the technical indicators and test methods of seam strength (see 5.4.3.3, 6.20, 5.5.3.2, 6.11 of the 2009 edition);
--- Changes and supplements have been made to the marking requirements (see 7.1, 8.1 of the 2009 edition).
Introduction
In the working environment, typical forms of flame and heat injury include direct contact with flames, exposure to flames and hot solids during welding, exposure to All kinds of molten metal splashed and arc discharge cause human body to be damaged by thermal energy, etc. Due to the different forms and characteristics of different flames and heat damage At the same time, different requirements for body protection have been put forward, and different protective clothing categories have also been developed. This document considers different types of domestic and foreign Based on the application requirements and technical status of flame and heat damage protection products, the technical requirements for main types of protective clothing are formulated respectively. Place The GB 8965 series of product standards compiled is proposed to be composed of 4 parts.
--- Part 1: Flame retardant clothing. The purpose is to clarify that there are open flames, sparks, or where there is a risk of flammable substances and flashover Technical requirements for the protective clothing used.
--- Part 2: Welding clothing. The purpose is to clarify the technical requirements for protective clothing used in welding and related workplaces.
--- Part 3: Molten metal splash protective clothing. The purpose is to clarify metal smelting, casting and other places where there are molten metal splash hazards Technical requirements for protective clothing used to avoid or reduce damage to workers caused by molten metal.
--- Part 4: Arc protection clothing. The purpose is to clearly protect electrical operations and related workplaces that may suffer from arc transient energy and technical requirements for protective clothing against thermal damage.
