Scope

GB 18452-2001 is the English-translated version of 破碎设备安全要求.

GB 18452-2001 sets safety requirements for crushing equipment covering the hazards that arise at all stages of the machine life cycle, and applies to jaw, cone, gyratory, vertical shaft impact, impact, hammer, ring hammer and roll crushers.

It defines terms specific to crushers (tension rod, splashing, uncrushable material) and lists 21 hazards in Table 1, from shearing, crushing and ejection of material to noise, vibration, dust, insufficient lighting and fire or explosion.

The requirements cover general safety, operating positions (noise in the main operating room not above 85 dB(A), weighted r.m.s. acceleration not above 1.25 m/s2, dust below 2 mg/m3), control systems and emergency stops, guarding of moving parts, feed protection, electrical equipment, hydraulic and lubrication systems (prefabricated hoses above 15 MPa), installation and maintenance, platforms and walkways, warning devices, lighting (operating room at least 100 lx) and fire prevention.

Clause 6 sets out the information for use: nameplate, warning signs, maintenance with the machine stopped, and the content of the instructions for use including safety warnings for operation and for maintenance.
