1 Scope

GB/T 47238-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the safety of a sand plant - the mixers, mullers, conveyors and reclamation units, their guarding and interlocks, the dust that is both a health hazard and an explosion risk, and the safe access for the cleaning that such a plant constantly needs. First edition, 19,000 words, in force since 1 September 2026, with the resin and water glass sand reclamation standards GB/T 28690-2026 and GB/T 31551-2026. It was issued on 27 February 2026 and has been in force since 1 September 2026, as a first edition. The document is under the responsibility of the China Machinery Industry Federation. This document specifies the safety requirements and/or risk mitigation measures for molding sand preparation and sand recycling equipment, provides usage information, and describes the safety requirements for molding sand preparation and sand recycling equipment.
