GB 14886-2016 is the English-translated version of 道路交通信号灯设置与安装规范.

GB 14886 governs where a traffic signal may be installed and how. It sets the conditions that justify signalising a junction or a crossing in the first place, the permitted combinations of signal heads and their meaning, the mounting position, height and orientation for post, cantilever and gantry installations, the visibility and the sight distance, the requirements for pedestrian and cycle signals, and the qualifications required of those who design and build the installation. It is the companion to GB 14887, which specifies the lamp itself. Issued on 13 December 2016, in force since 1 July 2017, replacing GB 14886-2006. 9.3.1 this standard are mandatory, others are recommended Nature. This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules. This standard replaces GB 14886-2006 "Road traffic lights setup and installation specifications." Compared with GB 14886-2006, except series Series modifications outside the main technical changes are as follows:

1 Scope

This standard specifies the conditions for setting road traffic lights, signal combinations, lights installation, design and construction quality, etc. Requirements. This standard applies to road traffic lights setup and installation. Other places traffic lights setup and installation can be implemented by reference.

2 Normative references

3.1 Terms and Definitions

GB/T 31418 and defined by the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

4.1 Basic requirements

4.3 Lights display requirements

e) crosswalk lights. red -> green -> red -> green light flashes, see Appendix A in Fig. A.6;

f) lane lights. red forked green down arrow -> -> red fork, see Appendix A in Figure A.7;

g) crossing lights. two alternately flashing red lights went -> -> two alternately flashing red light, red light or red light is off -> -> red Bright, see Appendix A in Figure A.8. Length should be 3s ~ 5s

4.3.4 motor vehicle lights, directional lights yellow lights or vehicle settings.

4.3.5 flashing yellow warning lights flash frequency signal should meet the GA/T 743-2007 requirements in 5.7. 5 Set Condition

5.1.3 intersection traffic accident conditions According to traffic accident situation intersection achieve one of the following conditions should be set intersection lights.
