Scope
HG/T 20642-2011 is the English-translated version of 化学工业炉耐火陶瓷纤维炉衬设计技术规定.
The recommended standard HG/T 20642-2011 covers the design of refractory ceramic fibre linings for chemical industrial furnaces. It applies to general chemical furnaces whose temperature does not exceed 1300 °C. Positive-pressure furnaces and incinerators handling highly corrosive flue gas are outside its reach, as are rotary kilns and other furnaces whose lining is in direct contact with moving material or with flue gas carrying a heavy load of ash and particulates. It draws on a mixed body of Chinese and foreign documents, among them GB/T 902.2, GB/T 902.3, GB/T 983, GB/T 2091, GB/T 3003, GB/T 4209, GB/T 5117, GB/T 16400, HG/T 20525, HG/T 20544, HG 20581, HG/T 20683, HG/T 20684, ISO 13918, API STD.560-2007, ASTM C201-1993 and ASTM C356. It replaces HG/T 20642-1998 and, issued on 18 May 2011, it has applied since 1 June 2011.
