HG/T 20589-2011 is the English-translated version of 化学工业炉受压元件强度计算规定.

HG/T 20589-2011 is a recommended Chinese chemical industry standard giving the strength calculation rules for the pressure parts of chemical industrial furnaces. It applies to new furnace tubes and to the associated fittings such as headers, tees and shaped tubes, and it treats the design of fired heater tubes in corrosive and non-corrosive service alike. It does not cover the strength calculation of refractory-lined pressure shells, heads and components such as gasifiers and secondary reformers, nor the design of piping outside the furnace. It is a modified adoption of ISO 13704-2007 and cites GB 150, GB 9948, GB/T 9222-2008, ASTM A234, ASTM A403, ASME B366, ASME B16.9, ASME B31.3-2006, API RP 579-2007, API PUBL 581-2008 and API RP 941-2008. It supersedes HG/T 20589-1996. Issued on 18 May 2011, it has applied since 1 June 2011.
