1 Scope
This standard specifies the ethanol extract, ash, vegetable matter, determination of total alkaloids insoluble content of washed wool.
This standard applies to all types of washed wool, other animal hair washing can also refer to use.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
With ethanol as a solvent, scoured wool material from the surface or internal organization extraction.
3.2
Wash wool by 750 °C residual material ignited.
3.3
Wash wool surface adhesion of seeds, crushed grass clippings, spiral burr, seeds and hard head branch and other substances.
3.4
Under controlled conditions, scoured wool dissolved in the sodium hydroxide solution to remove any residual material insoluble ash after drying.
3.5
Treated sample period, twice before and after weighing the difference does not exceed 0.05% after the first mass, the mass is after a constant weight.
Principle 4
4.1 Determination of the ethanol extract
After the sample measured absolute dry mass, Soxhlet extractor repeatedly by ethanol extraction, solvent recovery, drying and weighing extracts obtained by calculation

4.2 Determination of ash
After the dry weight of the sample measured at 750 °C, fully burning, residue is weighed, calculated ash content can be obtained.
