GB/T 4728 "Graphical symbols for electrical diagrams" is divided into 13 Parts.

- Part 1: General information;

- Part 2: Symbol elements, qualifying symbols and other symbols having general application;

- Part 4: Basic passive components;

- Part 5: Semiconductors and electron tubes;

- Part 6: Production and conversion of electrical energy;

- Part 7: Switchgear, control gear and protective devices;

- Part 8: Measuring instruments, lamps and signaling devices;

- Part 9: Telecommunications. Switching and peripheral equipment;

- Part 10: Telecommunications. Transmission;

- Part 11: Architectural and topographical installation plans and diagrams;

- Part 12: Binary logic elements;

- Part 13: Analogue components.

This Part is Part 2 of GB/T 4728.

This Part was drafted, in accordance with the rules, which are given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part replaces GB/T 4728.2-2005 "Graphical symbols for electrical diagrams - Part 2: Symbol elements, qualifying symbols and other symbols having general application".

Compared with GB/T 4728.2-2005, the main technical changes are as follows.

- MAKE an addition or subtraction of symbols, which are used in a number of standard symbols;

- According to the abolished symbols, DELETE some symbols from the description items in some symbols;

- DELETE 4 symbols. S00070, S00071, S00072, S001074.INCORPORATE the abolished-reference-only graphic symbols into the standard, as an informative appendix, for the use of designers;

- ADD 7 new symbols. S01851, S01852, S01853, S01854, S01859, S01860, S019187;

- DELETE the rejected S01424 symbols.

This Part uses the translation method, to identically adopt the corresponding part of the IEC 60617 database "General symbols for diagrams" (English version of snapshot printing on September 1, 2016).

It made the following editorial changes, to this Part.

- MODIFY the standard name;

- ADD the Appendix NA, to list the abolished-reference-only graphic symbols.

This Part was proposed by AND shall be under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Standardization of Electrical Information Structure, Documentation and Graphic Symbols (SAC/TC 27).
