1 Scope

GB/T 47051-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering reactivating spent carbon in a furnace - driving off and destroying the adsorbed organics without burning away the carbon itself, the yield and the restored adsorption capacity, and the treatment of the off-gas which carries everything the carbon had captured. First edition. It was issued on 28 January 2026 and has been in force since 1 August 2026, as a first edition. The document is under the responsibility of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. This document specifies the thermal regeneration procedure, general requirements, thermal regeneration process, pollutant emissions, and regenerated activated carbon for waste activated carbon thermal regeneration technology. Requirements for testing, packaging, and sales are outlined, along with corresponding verification methods. This document applies to the thermal regeneration of waste granular activated carbon and waste powdered activated carbon derived from wood, coal, and synthetic materials.
