GB/T 37498-2026 is the English-translated version of 天然生胶技术分级橡胶（TSR）凝胶含量的测定.

Determination of the gel content of technically specified rubber (TSR), a grade of raw natural rubber, is covered by this recommended national standard. Gel content is a quality characteristic of natural rubber that affects processing and performance, so producers, traders, tyre and rubber goods manufacturers and testing laboratories use the method to check material against agreed grade requirements. It adopts an international standard.

It replaces GB/T 37498-2019, so laboratories whose procedures cite the earlier edition should update them.

As a GB/T document it is recommended rather than mandatory in China, though supply contracts for natural rubber commonly refer to test methods of this kind so that results can be compared between parties. It was issued on 30 July 2026 under the responsibility of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and takes effect on 1 February 2027.

This edition replaces GB/T 37498-2019.
