GB/T 41997.1-2022 is the English-translated version of 机械电气安全 基于视觉的电敏保护设备 第1部分:通用技术要求.
GB/T 41997.1-2022 is the Chinese standard "Electrical safety of machinery—Vision based electro-sensitive protective equipment—Part 1: General requirements".
Its scope clause reads: This document specifies the design, manufacture and control of electro-sensitive protective equipment (ESPE) using vision-based protective devices (VBPD) as sensitive functions It also stipulates the design and manufacture of non-contact ESPE specially used to detect human body as an integral part of safety-related systems.
General requirements for manufacturing and testing. ESPE includes optional safety-related functions (given in Appendix A). It is limited to ESPE functionality and The way it is connected to the machine.
This document applies to ESPEs for the following purposes. --- Does not require human intervention in detection; --- Detect objects entering or existing in the detection area.
This document does not apply to. ---Use VBPDs whose radiation wavelength exceeds 400nm~1500nm.
This document does not cover. --- The size or configuration of the detection zone and its configuration in relation to any specific application of hazardous parts; --- Dangerous state of any machinery; --- Requirements for complex classification or differentiation of detected objects; --- Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) emission requirements.
This document may be relevant for applications other than the protection of personnel, such as the protection of machinery or products from mechanical damage. In these applications, the Additional requirements may be required, for example when the material identified by the sensitive function has properties different from that of a human.
