Scope

GB/T 41121-2021 is the English-translated version of 玻璃水滑道安全技术要求.

GB/T 41121-2021 is the Chinese national standard for the safety of glass water slides.

It sets the basic safety requirements for their materials, from concrete, steel bars and metals to glass and adhesives, and for design, including geotechnical investigation, site selection, design calculations, the main structure, foundations and support structure, the boarding and landing areas, the slide transport, water supply, electrical and monitoring systems, and passenger information.

It also covers construction and installation, use management with staff duties, daily inspection and emergency rescue, and inspection and testing. Informative appendices give load combination examples, a calculation method for glass stress and deflection, and the safety factor of tempered laminated glass.

It applies to all glass water slides. It was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.

1 Scope

This document specifies the basic safety requirements for the materials, design, construction and installation, use management, inspection and testing of glass water slides.
