Scope

GB/T 39778-2021 is the English-translated version of 铜阳极泥回收利用技术规范.

GB/T 39778-2021 is the Chinese technical specification for recovering and using copper anode slime, the residue that settles under the anodes of a copper refinery and carries the precious metals.

It sets the general requirements on the slime and then the technical requirements of the semi-wet route, of the fully wet route and of the pyrometallurgical route of recovery.

It applies to the anode slime produced in the electrolytic refining of copper. Copper smelters, precious metal refiners and environmental authorities use it. Issued on 9 March 2021, it has applied since 1 October 2021.
