1 Scope

GB/T 35732-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the feeder terminal unit on a distribution pole or in a ring main unit - its measurement and fault detection, its communication with the master station, its power supply through an outage, and the environment of heat, cold and lightning it lives in. Issued on 2 December 2025, it has been in force since 1 July 2026, replacing GB/T 35732-2017.

This document specifies the general requirements and technical conditions for distribution automation terminals (hereinafter referred to as "terminals"), as well as their functions, performance, markings, and packaging. The requirements for loading, transportation, and storage are described, along with the corresponding test methods. This document applies to the planning, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, testing, acceptance, and operation and maintenance of terminals.

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 35732-2017 "Technical Specification for Intelligent Terminals in Distribution Automation". Compared with GB/T 35732-2017, except for... Aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2017 edition);

b) The definition of "distribution automation terminal" has been changed (see 3.1,.2017 version 3.1);

c) The terms and definitions for "distribution transformer terminal" and "feeder automation" have been added (see

d) Terms and definitions related to distribution automation intelligent terminals have been removed (see sections 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, and

3.8 of the.2017 version);
