Scope

GB/T 26358-2022 is the English-translated version of 旅游度假区等级划分.

GB/T 26358-2022 is the Chinese national scheme for rating tourist resorts, areas with clear boundaries and their own management that provide holiday accommodation, catering, shopping, health care, leisure and entertainment.

It sets the two classes - provincial and national - and the basis for placing a resort in one of them, then the general rules and the basic conditions every resort has to meet.

For each class it lists the conditions under six headings: holiday resources and environment, holiday products, holiday public services, management and operation, market structure and influence, and ecological civilization and social benefits.

Annex A compares the conditions of the two classes side by side. It cites GB/T 14308-2010 for hotel star rating, GB/T 18973-2022 for tourist toilets and LB/T 065-2019 for homestays.

It replaces GB/T 26358-2010, was issued on 11 July 2022 and has applied since 1 February 2023.
