Scope
GB/T 36309-2018 is the English-translated version of 公共文化资源分类.
GB/T 36309-2018 sets out how public cultural resources are classified and coded in China. It defines public cultural resources and gives the classification principles, based on the basic attributes, form of existence and main function of each resource.
The coding method uses a three-level, five-digit code: the first digit gives the category, the second and third the major class and the fourth and fifth the subclass, with 99 reserved for resources not yet listed.
The code tables cover five categories: public cultural facilities, products, activities, services and subjects, and the standard applies to the registration, statistics, inventory and other management and service work on public cultural resources.
Cultural authorities, libraries, museums and statistical offices use it to record resources in a consistent way. It was issued on 7 June 2018 and has applied since 1 January 2019.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification principles, coding methods and codes of public cultural resources.
This standard applies to the management and service of public cultural resources such as registration, statistics, and inventory.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
2.1 Public cultural resources
Public cultural facilities, products, activities, services, and related objects that are provided for the primary purpose of meeting the basic cultural needs of citizens Various elements of public cultural subjects.
3 Classification principle
This standard is classified according to the basic attributes, forms of existence and main performance of public cultural resources, and appropriate consideration is given to the needs of industry management.
4 Coding method
This standard uses a three-layer 5-digit code representation, with the first digit representing the category, the second and third digits representing the major category, and the fourth and fifth digits representing the subclass. public The structure of the common cultural resource code is shown in Figure 1.
The five categories indicated by the first digit of the public cultural resource classification code are as follows.
a) public cultural facilities (10000);
b) public cultural products (20000);
c) public cultural activities (30000);
