Scope
GB/T 25936.2-2024 is the English-translated version of 橡胶塑料粉碎机械 第2部分:拉条式切粒机安全要求.
GB/T 25936.2-2024 is Part 2 of the Chinese safety series for rubber and plastics size reduction machinery, and covers strand pelletisers - the machines that draw extruded strands through a water bath and chop them into pellets. Their hazards are a different set from the granulator's: the operator feeds strands by hand into a nip between feed rolls and a rotating cutter, the strands arrive hot from the die, and the water bath introduces both a slipping and an electrical risk into a machine full of live drives. The standard sets the safety requirements and protective or risk reduction measures for the general case, the mechanical hazards, the noise hazards, the thermal hazards, the hazards from water spillage and the electrical hazards, then the verification of those measures, and the information for use covering the general requirements, the instruction handbook and the marking and warning signs, with an informative annex listing the significant hazards and a normative annex giving the noise test procedure. It took effect on 23 August 2024.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part
1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document is Part 2 of GB/T 25936 Rubber and Plastic Crushing Machinery. GB/T 25936 has been published in the following parts.
1.Safety requirements for blade crushers;
2.Safety requirements for strand pelletizers;
3.Safety requirements for shredders;
4.Safety requirements for pelletizers. This document replaces GB 25936.2-2012 "Rubber and plastics crushing machinery Part
2.Safety requirements for strand pelletizers" Compared with GB 25936.2-2012, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The scope of this document has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2012 edition);
b) Added general requirements for safety requirements and/or protection/risk reduction measures (see 4.1);
c) Added the requirement to use fixed protective equipment when entering the cutting room (see 4.2.1);
d) The requirements for safety-related components of control systems have been changed (see
5.1.1.2 of the.2012 edition);
e) Changed the requirements for the safe distance from the discharge area to the cutting room (see 4.2.1.3,
5.1.1.3 of the.2012 edition);
1 Scope
This document specifies the safety requirements for the design and manufacture of strand pelletizers and gives instructions for the safe use of the machine. This document is applicable to the treatment of strand pelletizers during their life cycle (see
5.4 in GB/T 15706-2012). All significant hazards, hazardous conditions and dangerous conditions associated with the strand pelletizer in the event of misuse that is reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer. Dangerous events (see Appendix A). This document applies to strand pelletizers for pelletizing rubber and plastic materials with continuous feed. This document applies to the feed port of the feeding device starting from the strand pelletizer. If there is a starting device, it starts from the strand pelletizer. The starting device ends at the strand pelletizer in the discharge area.
