Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 22800-2009 "Textiles for Star Tourist Hotels". Compared with GB/T 22800-2009, this document except In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---The product classification has been adjusted from the original three categories of products to four categories of products, and its name has been revised (see Chapter 4,

4.1 of the.2009 edition);

1 Scope

China's national standard for the textiles used in tourist hotels. It specifies the terms and definitions, the product classification, the technical requirements, the test methods, the judgement rules, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage, and it applies to the quality assessment of textiles used in tourist hotels. Hotel textiles are a different product from the domestic ones they resemble, and the difference is the laundry. A domestic sheet is washed perhaps weekly at forty degrees; a hotel sheet is washed daily at high temperature with alkaline detergent and chlorine or oxygen bleach, extracted, tunnel-dried and ironed at temperature, and it is expected to go through that a hundred and fifty times or more and still look new. That regime destroys ordinary household textiles in months. So the requirements here are dominated by what survives industrial laundering: the dimensional change after repeated washing, which is what makes a fitted sheet stop fitting; the colour fastness to washing, to chlorine and to light; the tensile and tear strength retained after a specified number of cycles rather than when new; the pilling and abrasion resistance; and the whiteness retention, since a towel that greys is replaced even though it is intact. Around them sit the properties the guest experiences - the water absorbency of a towel, the handle, the yarn count and the mass per unit area that the trade quotes - and the safety requirements that apply to any textile in contact with skin, including formaldehyde, azo dyes and pH. The classification separates bed linen, towelling, table linen, curtains and upholstery, which face entirely different service. Issued on 7 September 2023 and in force since 1 October 2024, it replaces GB/T 22800-2009.

This document stipulates the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, judgment rules, markings, packaging and packaging of textiles for tourist hotels. loading, transportation and storage.
