Scope
GB/T 22335-2018 is the English-translated version of 棉花加工技术规范.
GB/T 22335-2018 is the Chinese national specification for processing raw cotton in a gin.
It sets the basic requirements for the plant and its records, the processing requirements along the line - drying, cleaning, ginning, lint cleaning and baling - and the inspection requirements that follow, so that the fibre quality and the identification of each bale are preserved.
It applies to enterprises processing fine staple cotton and long staple cotton. Ginners, traders and the bodies that inspect cotton work to it. It replaces GB/T 22335-2008, was issued on 6 February 2018 and has applied since 1 June 2018.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules of GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 22335-2008 "Technical Specification for Cotton Processing." Compared with GB/T 22335-2008, the main technical changes except editorial modification are as follows.

--- Modify the requirements of personnel;
--- Modify the content and sequence of the processing part;
--- Modify the test requirements.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements, processing requirements and inspection requirements of the cotton processing process.
This standard applies to cotton processing enterprises processing fine cotton, long-staple cotton.
