Scope
GB/T 21888-2023 is the English-translated version of C.I.酸性红131(酸性艳红P-9B 150%).
GB/T 21888-2023 specifies the requirements, sampling, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage of the acid dye C.I. Acid red 131 (Acid brilliant red P-9B 150%, C30H21N3Na2O9S2, CAS 70210-37-6), and applies to its quality control.
The quality requirements cover appearance, strength and shade against an agreed dye standard (visual and, by agreement, instrumental DE/DC/DH under D65), moisture <= 8.0%, water-insoluble matter <= 0.2%, solubility at 90 °C >= 50 g/L, dusting behaviour, and harmful aromatic amines and heavy metals under GB 19601, GB/T 24101 and GB 20814, together with minimum colour fastness grades on polyamide fabric at 1/1 standard depth.
Shade and strength are determined by polyamide dyeing (the referee method) or wool dyeing with the dyebath recipes given in the standard, and the fastness tests cover light, soaping, perspiration, water, rubbing, hot pressing and chlorinated water.
It replaces GB/T 21888-2008; the main changes add the instrumental shade and chlorinated-water fastness indicators and the dye standard, and revise the aromatic amine requirements, the appearance assessment, the general dyeing conditions and the marking and packaging provisions.
Issued on 6 August 2023, in force since 1 March 2024. Classification: ICS 71.100.01, 87.060.10, CCS G57. The document runs to 8 pages, delivered complete in English translation.
