Scope

GB/T 19624-2019 is the English-translated version of 在用含缺陷压力容器安全评定.

GB/T 19624-2019 is the Chinese method for judging whether an in-service pressure vessel with defects is still safe to use.

It sets the terms and symbols, the general principles and the assessment of fracture, plastic and fatigue failure, and its annexes cover material property data, the load ratio Lr, the stress intensity factor KI and methods for defects in straight pipe sections.

It applies to steel pressure vessels with defects beyond the allowable sizes: planar ones such as cracks, lack of fusion and undercut 1 mm deep or more, and volumetric ones such as pits, pores and slag.

Boilers and piping may refer to it; nuclear installations, parts built into machines, directly fired parts and parts that may fail by creep are excluded. It replaces GB/T 19624-2004, was issued on 4 June 2019 and has applied since 1 January 2020.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 19624-2004 "Safety Assessment of Pressure Vessels in Use". Compared with GB/T 19624-2004, the main To change as follows.

--- Revised the canonical reference document (see Chapter 2, Chapter 2 of the 2004 edition);

--- Revised the primary stress distribution safety factor (see Table 1, Table 5-1 of the 2004 edition);

---Modified welding residual area, high restraint weld area or welding residual stress distribution caused by welding residual stress in unknown areas The value of the secondary stress (see 5.4.2.3.4, 5.4.2.4.4 of the 2004 edition);

--- Revised the safety assessment qualification conditions for pit defects and the conditions for exemption from evaluation (see 5.8, 5.8 of 2004 edition);

--- Revised the value of the flow stress (see 5.8.4 and H.7, 2004 editions 5.8.4 and H.7);

--- Increased inner ring circumferential crack of inner cylinder, semi-elliptical surface axial and circumferential crack, elliptical buried axial or circumferential crack The calculation formula of Lr modifies the calculation formula and applicable range of the long 2a penetration crack Lr on the inner pressure spherical shell, and adds a schematic diagram. (See Appendix C, Appendix C of the 2004 edition);

--- Increased inner ring circumferential crack of inner cylinder, semi-elliptical surface axial and circumferential crack, elliptical buried axial or circumferential crack The calculation formula of the 2a penetration crack KI on the inner and inner pressure spherical shells, and the calculation formula of the weld root crack KI in the cross joint is deleted. (See Appendix D, Appendix D of the 2004 edition);

--- Increased the impact of corrosion fatigue on safety assessment (see Appendix A);

--- Modified the method for determining the load ratio LFr during crack initiation (see G.4.2.2, G.4.2.2 of 2004);

--- Revised the formula for calculating the plastic limit internal pressure of a dimensionless defective pipe under pure internal pressure (see H.11.1, 2004 edition) H.11.1);

--- Increased safety assessment methods for pressure pipe elbows and three-way volume defects (see Appendix I);

--- Increased empirical formula for material fracture toughness substitution (see Appendix J).

Introduction

In order to adapt to the relevant national laws and regulations regarding the use of defective pressure vessels, pressure piping safety assessment requirements and engineering needs, I The country has successively launched the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" key scientific and technological projects "Research on the safety assessment of defective pressure vessels" and the "Eighth Five-Year Plan" national key research project "in service" Research on Safety Assessment and Explosion Prevention Technology of Boiler and Pressure Vessels and National Key Science and Technology Research Projects in the Ninth Five-Year Plan Evaluation and important pressure vessel life prediction technology research, based on these research work, formed in 2004 GB/T 19624-2004 "Safety Assessment of Pressure Vessels in Use". The standard is based on the principle of "combined use" and "weakest ring" and is used to identify defects in use.

Whether the pressure vessel can continue to be used safely under the specified conditions of use. The main drafting units and personnel of GB/T 19624-2004 are.

This standard specifies the terms, definitions and symbols for the safety assessment of pressure vessels containing defects, general theory, fracture and plastic failure assessment, fatigue Failure assessment.

This standard is applicable to the safety assessment of steel pressure vessels containing excessive defects. Boilers, pipes and other containers made of metal materials The pressure-receiving element can also be used for reference when performing safety assessment.

This standard applies to the safety assessment of pressure components with the following types of defects:

a) Plane defects: including cracks, unfused, incomplete penetration, undercuts with a depth greater than or equal to 1 mm;

b) Volume defects: including pits, pores, slag inclusions, undercuts with a depth of less than 1 mm.

This standard does not apply to the following pressure vessels and structures:

a) pressure vessels and structures subjected to nuclear radiation in nuclear energy installations;

b) non-independent pressure-bearing components on the machine (eg compressors, generators, pumps, pressurized casings or cylinders of diesel engines, etc.);

c) pressurized components subjected to direct fire;

d) Capacitive pressure vessels (closed appliances) for enclosed electrical equipment for the power industry;

e) Potential failure modes include creeping pressure vessels and structures.
