Foreword
GB/T 14914 "Ocean Observation Specification" is divided into six parts.
--- Part 1. General;
--- Part 2. Seaside observation;
--- Part 3. Buoy subsurface observation;
--- Part 4. Shore-based radar observations;
--- Part 5. Satellite remote sensing observations;
--- Part 6. Data processing and quality control. This part is the second part of GB/T 14914. This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This part replaces GB/T 14914-2006 "Seaside Observation Specification". The main technical changes in this section compared with GB/T 14914-2006 are as follows:
--- Revised the normative reference document (see Chapter 2, Chapter 2 of the.2006 edition);
--- Removed the term "sea state" (see
3.1 of.2006 edition);
--- Added the term "day boundary" (see 3.6);
--- Increased the requirements for the observation and recording of the longitude and latitude of the ocean observatory (point), the area requirements of the meteorological observation field, and the installation requirements of the observation equipment. Lightning protection measures for ocean observing stations (points), site migration comparison observation requirements, operational operation comparison observation requirements, update of observation instruments Marine equipment observatories (points) should document activities that have an impact on the observed data (see 4.1);

This part of GB/T 14914 specifies the timeliness, technical requirements, methods of observation and recording, data collation and Correction, data transmission requirements. This section applies to ocean hydrology and marine meteorological observations at ocean observatories (points) on coastal, island, and platform.
