Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 6441-1986 "Classification of Occupational Injuries and Fatalities in Enterprises". Compared with GB/T 6441-1986, the main differences are structural adjustments. Aside from editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) The scope of the document has been changed (see Chapter 1, first paragraph of the 1986 edition);

b) The terms "injury or fatality," "lost working days," "temporary disability injury," "permanent partial disability injury," and "permanent total disability injury" have been removed. "Can cause harm" (see Chapter 1, 1986 edition);

c) The term "precursor cause" has been added (see Chapter 3);

d) A "classification principle" has been added (see 4.1.1);

e) Change "vehicle injury" to two basic accident types. "in-plant vehicle injury" and "road (railway) vehicle injury" (see...). 4.1.2 (Chapter 2, 1986 edition)

f) Change "mechanical injury" to "mechanical harm" (see 4.1.2, Chapter 2, 1986 edition);

g) Change "lifting injury" to "lifting-related injury" (see 4.1.2, Chapter 2, 1986 edition);

h) Added "fall", "water damage", "pipeline explosion", "flammable gas explosion", "flammable liquid vapor explosion", "dust explosion", and "civilian explosion". Basic accident categories. "Explosion of materials", "Explosion of fireworks and firecrackers", "Explosion of other combustible solids", "Explosion of high-temperature molten materials", "Landslide", and "Leakage". Type (see 4.1.2);

i) The accident types "roof collapse", "water inrush", "blasting", "gunpowder explosion", "gas explosion", "boiler explosion" and "other explosions" have been removed (see [link]). Chapter 2 (1986 edition)

j) Change "Other damages" to "Other" (see 4.1.2, Chapter 2, 1986 edition);

k) The chapter on "Damage Analysis" has been removed (see Chapter 3 of the 1986 edition);

l) The chapter on "Classification of Injury Levels" has been deleted (see Chapter 4 of the 1986 edition);

This document specifies the classification and type coding of production safety accidents and describes the calculation method of relative statistical indicators. This document applies to the classification and statistical analysis of production safety accidents.

Note. In this document, "production safety accident" is abbreviated as "accident".

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 First induced reason When two or more causes exist simultaneously in an accident, the cause that appears first or provides the conditions for the other causes to play their role is the cause that causes the accident to occur first.

4.1 Classification by basic accident type

4.1.1 Classification Principles The basic accident types are classified according to the following principles.

a) The direct cause of the accident shall be used as the basis for analysis, which shall be conducted in accordance with section

7.3 of GB 6442-2025;

b) For single accidents, determine the basic accident type based on the course and characteristics of the accident, referring to the description in Table 1;

c) When an accident simultaneously possesses characteristics of multiple accident types or occurs in a chain reaction, the causes should be determined sequentially based on the initial inducing cause and the leading cause. The severity of the damage is used to classify basic accident types.

4.1.2 Basic Accident Types The names and descriptions of the basic accident types are shown in Table 1.
