This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 3608-2008 "Classification of Operations at Heights". Compared with GB/T 3608-2008, the main differences are structural adjustments and editorial changes. Aside from the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows:

---Wind speed has been removed from the objective hazard factors [see 4.2a) in the.2008 edition];

---The reference standard for high-temperature operations in the objective hazard factors has been revised [see 4.2b,.2008 version 4.2b)];

---The requirements for low-temperature working environments in the objective hazard factors have been revised [see 4.2c,.2008 edition of 4.2c];

---Specific indicators for insufficient lighting and poor visibility in the workplace have been added to the list of objective hazard factors [see 4.2f)];

---The voltage ratings of hazardous voltage charged bodies in Table 1 have been changed [see 4.2g,.2008 edition of 4.2g];

---The reference standard for the level of physical labor intensity in objective risk factors has been revised [see 4.2i,.2008 edition of 4.2i];

---The phrase "work environments that may cause various disasters and accidents, and rescue operations for various sudden disasters and accidents" has been removed [see.2008]. (Version 4.2k). 3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 work at heights Operations at a height of 2m or more above the fall height reference plane (3.2), where there is a possibility of a fall.

3.2 The lowest horizontal plane within the possible fall range (3.3).

3.3 Possible fall boundaries A cylindrical space perpendicular to the horizontal plane, centered on the work location and with a radius of (3.4) of the possible fall area.

3.4 A horizontal distance relative to the work location specified to determine the potential fall zone (3.3).

Note. The radius of the potential fall zone is expressed in meters, and its size depends on the base height (3.5) related to the terrain, topography, or building distribution of the work site.

3.5 basic height hb With the work location as the center and a radius of 6m, mark the height between the lowest point of the cylindrical space perpendicular to the horizontal plane and the work location. Difference in degree.

Note. The unit of foundation height is meters. Foundation height is related to the terrain, topography, or building distribution of the work site.
