China's mandatory national standard for combustible gas alarm control units. The control unit is the panel that gathers the signals from gas detectors and decides what to do: raise the alarm, close a valve, start ventilation, shut down a plant. Because it is the point where detection becomes action, its failure modes matter more than a detector's. A unit that fails silently leaves a plant unprotected while everyone believes it is monitored, so the standard requires that faults - a broken cable, a failed detector, a lost supply - be detected and signalled as faults rather than ignored, and distinguished from a gas alarm so that the response is right. Around that sit the two alarm thresholds, typically at a fifth and two fifths of the lower explosive limit, the response and reset behaviour, the battery endurance, and the electromagnetic compatibility of equipment that lives in an industrial environment.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part
1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB 16808-2008 "Combustible Gas Alarm Controller". Compared with GB 16808-2008, except for the structural adjustment and editing In addition to the functional changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
