Scope
YY/T 0287-2017 is the English-translated version of 医疗器械 质量管理体系 用于法规的要求.
YY/T 0287-2017 is the Chinese pharmaceutical industry standard on quality management systems for medical devices, an identical adoption (IDT) of ISO 13485:2016, Medical devices - Quality management systems - Requirements for regulatory purposes.
It specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to provide medical devices and related services that consistently meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
It covers the quality management system and its documentation, including the medical device file; management responsibility; resource management, including infrastructure, work environment and contamination control; product realization, from customer-related processes and design and development through purchasing, production and service provision, sterile devices and the validation of sterilization processes, identification and traceability; and measurement, analysis and improvement, including feedback, complaint handling, reporting to regulatory authorities, internal audit, nonconforming product and corrective and preventive action.
Compared with YY/T 0287-2003, which it replaces, it gives more weight to regulatory requirements, extends the scope, strengthens risk management and post-market requirements, and adds requirements for communication with regulatory authorities and for documentation and records.
Annex A compares it with the 2003 edition and Annex B maps it to GB/T 19001-2016. Issued on 19 January 2017 by the China Food and Drug Administration, it has been in force since 1 May 2017.
Classification: ICS 11.040.01; 03.120.10, CCS C 30. The English edition runs to 58 pages.
