Scope
QC/T 1101-2019 is the English-translated version of 电动汽车用电加热器.
QC/T 1101-2019 covers the electric heater used on electric vehicles, specifying its terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
It applies to electric heaters for electric vehicles, but not to panel or electrothermal film electric heaters.
The requirements treat the heater as an electrical and a mechanical part: after vibration and after temperature alternation the unit must show no structural damage, after a 1000 mm drop in the factory-packed state no obvious damage, and after humidity resistance and high and low temperature storage its input power change must stay within plus or minus 10 percent, and the electrical safety performance of clause 4.4 must still hold.
Salt spray resistance calls for a neutral salt spray test of not less than 96 h, with no corrosion or leakage afterwards.
For liquid heaters there is a test at 0.2 MPa air pressure held 120 s, a burst pressure test at 0.5 MPa held 30 s, a pressure impulse test of 20 000 alternations between 0.02 MPa and 0.25 MPa at 1 Hz with the liquid at 100 degrees C plus or minus 5 degrees C, and a vacuum test at -90 kPa held 60 s and repeated 5 times.
Durability runs at (1.15 plus or minus 2 percent) of rated voltage, either 1000 h continuous or 10 000 on-off cycles of 1 min on and 1 min off. Protection level, flame retardance of non-metallic parts and prohibited substances are tested to GB/T 4208, GB/T 2408 and GB/T 30512.
