NB/T 20038-2011 is the Chinese energy industry code on nuclear air and gas treatment, setting the general requirements for design and fabrication.

It states the minimum requirements for the performance, design, construction, acceptance testing and quality assurance of the safety-related equipment and components of ventilation, air conditioning and gas treatment systems in nuclear facilities.

The code applies to such equipment and components in nuclear power plants and in other nuclear facilities. The functional design requirements of the systems, their operating characteristics and their overall sizing are left outside its scope.

It refers to GB/T 324, GB 9448, the NB/T 20039 series and the nuclear safety regulations HAF 003 and HAF 602, and it replaces EJ/T 1116-2000. Issued on 1 July 2011, it has applied since 1 October 2011.
