Part 8 of the NB/T 20039 series, NB/T 20039.8-2012 is a recommended Chinese energy industry standard on nuclear air and gas treatment, covering ventilation, air conditioning and air cleaning.

It sets the specifications, the requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules for medium efficiency air filters, together with their marking, packaging, transport and storage.

Its scope is the safety-related medium efficiency filters installed in the air purification systems of nuclear facilities, and filters that are independent of nuclear safety may also be built to it.

Reference is made to GB/T 531.1, GB/T 3198, GB/T 3280, GB/T 6669, GB/T 9799, GB/T 11253, GB/T 14295-2008 and NB/T 20038-2011. It replaces EJ/T 916-1994. Issued on 6 January 2012, it has applied since 6 April 2012.
